Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The following tributes were nominated in alternate forms:
- Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Cavaliers, both with their 2016 rosters.
- The following players swapped out or un-nominated their tributes:
- GrafVonTirol (Roronoa Zoro and Erza Scarlet, because he didn't realize this season was a Battle Royale at first).
- CosmosAndChaos (unknown, who didn't realize this season was a Battle Royale at first).
- arcada188 (Zig and Bernie, as well as Arabia Fats and J. Geil as reserves, because he didn't realize it was a Battle Royale at first).
- The following group tributes with non-obvious members were composed of:
- Chicago Cubs: 45 players (Jake Arrieta, Jake Buchanan, Trevor Cahill, Aroldis Chapman, Gerardo Concepción, Carl Edwards Jr., Justin Grimm, Jason Hammel, Kyle Hendricks, John Lackey, Jon Lester, Brian Matusz, Mike Montgomery, Joe Nathan, Spencer Patton, Félix Peña, Joel Peralta, Neil Ramirez, Clayton Richard, Héctor Rondón, Joe Smith, Pedro Strop, Adam Warren, Travis Wood, Rob Zastryzny, Willson Contreras, Tim Federowicz, Miguel Montero, David Ross, Javier Báez, Kris Bryant, Jeimer Candelario, Chris Coghlan, Munenori Kawasaki, Tommy La Stella, Anthony Rizzo, Addison Russell, Ben Zobrist, Albert Almora Jr., Dexter Fowler, Jason Heyward, Ryan Kalish, Kyle Schwarber, Jorge Soler, and Matt Szczur) and 12 members of the coaching staff (Joe Maddon, Henry Blanco, Mike Borzello, Chris Bosio, Doug Dascenzo, Eric Hinske, Brandon Hyde, Gary Jones, John Mallee, Dave Martinez, Chad Noble, and Lester Strode)

- The following players missed out from the season because they didn't have any contenders for the Battle Royale:
- DarknessAwaits
- This season was supposed to be the third OG Death Battle if the players didn't decide to hold the Death Battle first and if Captain Phasma wasn't mistakenly qualified for the Death Battle, thus completing the Death Battle roster last season. If the mistake was caught and this season was hosted earlier with a similar result, Bob the Builder would have competed in place of Captain Phasma in the Death Battle.
- Battle music started to be used as optional flair for seasons here thanks to TheGamechanger.
- HuneyB went by BaconZorp, while CyberController went by hamza678 at the time of this season.
