Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The following tributes were nominated in alternate forms:
    • Vegito, as Super Vegito.
    • Cleveland Cavaliers, with their 2016 roster.
  • The following players swapped out or un-nominated their tributes:
    • Anomalocaris20 (Kellam and Nothing as main tributes, and Galacta Knight and Bonetail as reserves, as he didn't realize the season was a Death Battle at first).
  • The following group tributes with non-obvious members were composed of:
    • Cleveland Cavaliers: 15 players (Matthew Dellavedova, Channing Frye, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Richard Jefferson, Dahntay Jones, James Jones, Sasha Kaun, Kevin Love, Jordan McRae, Timofey Mozgov, Iman Shumpert, J. R. Smith, Tristan Thompson, and Mo Williams) and 10 members of the coaching staff (Tyronn Lue, Stephen Spiro, Derek Millender, Phil Handy, Jim Boylan, Bret Brielmaier, Larry Drew, Mike Longabardi, James Posey, and Vitaly Potapenko)
  • The following players missed out because they didn't have any contenders for the Death Battle:
    • Cabe_Bedlam (King of Sorrow, who thought that he counted since King of Sorrow made a lot of kills).
    • TheGamechanger, who hadn't made his debut at the time. He would debut two seasons later in OG Season 89.
  • This season should have been the seventh OG Battle Royale, but the players agreed to hold the Death Battle first since at the time, there wasn't any in a while.
  • Captain Phasma was mistakenly qualified into the season as she was erroneously counted as the second mass murderer of OG Season 54 thanks to a bug with the official kill tally. Bob the Builder should have competed as the last mass murderer in her place if the seventh OG Battle Royale happened first as it was supposed to be and assuming OG Season 88 happened the same way as it did if it was held this season instead. In addition, Rose of Sharon Cassidy should have qualified instead of Michael Rosen, but the host of OG Season 72, YOLOisfox, mistakenly declared Michael as the most murderous.
  • The save was rigged to minimize natural death events in an attempt to make it truly a Murderers' Death Battle, only for it to backfire. As a result, it became one of the most controversial seasons, which saw a Day 1 Arena Event (Phantom Gandhi) decimate roughly 2/3 of the cast, resulting in the shortest season ever, at 1.5 days. Because of this, early arena events with high death tolls have been banned from the next season onwards, with arena events only being allowed to happen after at least two days have passed.
  • HuneyB went by BaconZorp at the time of this season.
